22 Year-Old Nigerian Stabbed To Death In London

A 22-year-old Nigerian identified as Babafemi Junaid was on February 7th found in a car with stab wounds which had collided with a bus in south London.

The police however suspect Femi had been stabbed in Clapham Road, near Stockwell underground station, south London and had then got into his car in a bid to escape which then collided with the bus. Femi, who is from Peckham, was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

A Metropolitan Police statement said a murder investigation is now under way. No arrests have been made so far.

A friend who asked not to be named said that after spending time in prison Mr Junaid had turned his life around.

She said: “I’ve known him for a couple of years since he has been out of prison. He didn’t talk about it and I was too scared to ask him what it was like.

“But he was a really positive person and would talk to me about God and would always ask me on a Sunday if I was going to church.

“He was such a generous person and he always thought about his friend’s feelings. He was one of those low-key, popular boys. I was meant to be meeting him this week. When I found out I couldn’t believe it.”

Two days before his death, Mr Junaid posted a message on Twitter saying: “RT [Retweet] if God saved you from a bad situation.”
