The man, who was said to be expert helping Boko Haram to organize the bombings, was nabbed by soldiers of the 7th Division as he was heading to Sambisa forest, the insurgents' hideout, provides Premium Times with reference to the top military sources.

When the soldiers during the stop-and-check found suspicious items on the man, like "sophisticated communication gadgets, a map, a very expensive laptop and 30 pieces of Flash-Drives", they immediately took him to the Maimalari barracks.

The man reportedly confessed to being expert working for Boko Haram terrorists. He claimed responsibility for both Nyanya and Jos bombing, with more than 300 casualties.

The source, who pleaded anonymity, further said:

"He said he was to meet with some operatives of Boko Haram for yet another work (bomb attack)... He boasted that he will soon be released as was the case at DSS headquarters when he was arrested late last year but only to be released three months after to start work again."

When contacted, the Defence Headquarters officials, that on Wednesday announced the arrest of one suspect in connection with Jos twin explosion, neither declined nor confirmed the information regarding bomb expert detention.

It would be recalled that two deadly explosions rocked the same Nyanya bus station on the outskirts of Abuja with the 2-week interval, on April 14 and May 1. On May 20, another tragedy hit the country, as the twin explosion was launched on the overcrowded market in Jos, Plateau State. Four days later suicide bomber detonated a device near the football viewing center killing 3, initially he targeted 400 people.
