President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan had earlier condemned the bomb explosions, describing the perpetrators of this tragic act as cruel and evil.

While extending his heartfelt sympathies to the affected families and persons, President Jonathan directed all relevant agencies to mobilize support and relief efforts in aid of the victims.

In a statement issued by his media aide, Dr. Reuben Abati, President Jonathan once again assured Nigerians that the government is fully committed to winning the war against terrorism.

He said his administration will not be intimidated by the atrocities of “enemies of human progress and civilization.”
