JUST IN: Ronaldo Breaks European Cup Goal Record
Real Madrid striker, Cristiano Ronaldo on Tuesday broke the record for the most goals in an European Club Competition in his side's second leg Champions League semi final match against Bayern Munich.
The Portuguese got his 15th and 16th of the campaign to put the Spanish side 4-0 up in Munich.
Ronaldo thus beat the previous best of 14 registered by Barcelona's Lionel Messi in 2011-12 and Jose Altafini of AC Milan in 1962-63.
The World Player of the Year has now scored 66 Champions League goals and is closing in on Raul's overall record for the most goals in the competition of 71.
